ALL ABOUT BEARS

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Wanda Luthman’s Christian & Children’s Book Blog!

Today, I have an adorably illustrated informative children’s book about bears only it’s not a stuffy, educational book. It’s a fun, rhyming, picture book that also educates.

John Ross, the author, is sharing is debut book with us today…

How many kinds of bears are there?

Which kind can walk the farthest on two legs?

Which bear spends the most time up in a tree?

Does a spectacled bear have poor eyesight?

You and your child will learn the answers to all these questions and more in the beautifully illustrated “All About Bears.”

Perfect for fans of all books about our friends with fur and paws — plus great for educational units about the world of nature, ecology and saving the environment.

All About Bears” features a rhythmic, rhyming style that is easy and fun to read and will have children clamoring for repeat readings.

Loveable art from acclaimed illustrator Imasha Chethani and author John Ross adds style and charm to learning about animals and how to protect our fragile wildlife for future generations.

A “nature learning book” by Emmy-winning television producer, writer, and composer, John Ross.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR John Ross is an Emmy-winning television producer, writer, and composer. His passion, though, is nature. He has traveled to five continents to film wildlife and spent years as host and one of the cinematographers of the acclaimed TV series, Safari, seen around the world.

Close calls he remembers are being awakened by a pride of lions feeding a few feet from his tent and having his open jeep rammed by an angry Cape buffalo. Ross now says none of the animals he encountered were as frightening and dangerous as his four-year-old son, Johnny, when he misses his nap.

After carefully testing his writing skills on his son, John launched his “All About” kids’ nature learning books to share his passion with children around the world.

Bears hold a special place in his heart. Along with Casey Anderson and Amy Otten, he is a founder of the Montana Grizzly Encounter sanctuary. The Bozeman, Montana sanctuary was home to TV star Brutus the Bear for nineteen years and still provides a loving place to live for four other rescued grizzly bears.
