Guest Posting

If you are interested in guest posting on this blog to share your children’s book, please take the time to read this full page for all the details of post expectations, acceptable topics for your post, what I need you to do, and what you can expect me to do. 

It is also recommended that you check this blog to see what sort of articles are featured.

BEING A GUEST POSTER

What I expect from a guest post(er)

☆ Articles must cater to this blog’s niche (children’s books) to be of value to its readers.

☆ Article topics must be agreed in advance.

☆ Articles must not include profanity, racism, sexism etc.

Accepted topics for guest posts

  • Your newest children’s book(s)
  • What inspired you to write your book(s)
  • Your background in writing
  • Your relationship to the book’s message you are posting about
  • The message your book is delivering
  • An award that your book has won
  • An older book that you would like new to exposure for
  • Funny story related to being an author or about your book
  • Information related to your book(s) message
  • How you get your creative ideas etc.

This is not an exhaustive list, and if you have an idea for a topic you can speak to me about it.  

 

ONCE YOU’RE ACCEPTED AS A GUEST

I will need the following from you

☆ Your article in a Word document by (or before) the deadline date (if one is agreed upon)

Word count must be between 400-1000 words only, include a title and break your article up with headings

☆ List of your social media links, website links, and buy links (no more than 10)

☆ A short biography

☆ A headshot photo (or an avatar)*

☆ One book cover image (if published)

*Please note your avatar image must either be owned by you or you must have rights and permissions to use it.

ONCE YOUR POST GOES LIVE

What you need to do

☆ You must share the post on at least one social media account/website within 2 days

☆ You must leave a comment on the post once the post is live and then check back periodically to reply to any and all comments left (this helps with relationship building for you)

What I do to promote your post (Guest posts are always posted on Monday mornings US Eastern Time)

☆ I will share it on my Twitter account

☆ I will share it on my Facebook Author Page

☆ I will share it on my LinkedIn account

☆ I will share it on my Google+ account
